TMI Foods is a subsidiary of Dawn Farm Foods, the leading cooked and fermented meats company in Europe. We manufacture meat food products (mainly pork based products) in accordance with Food Safety regulations and requirement.
We are looking for Production Operatives to join the factory which involves the preparation of raw products (mainly pork based products).
Key Duties
- Manufacture of food products in accordance with food safety HACCP and hygiene requirements, quality and Quality Management System (QMS) standards within a safe working environment.
- To report immediately any contravention of hygiene or health and safety issues to a direct Team Leader / Manager.
- To carry out operative processes withing the factory operation to the agreed standards in relation to customer, company, legal, HACCP and food safety requirements within a safe working environment.
- Maintain and clean production environment and have a high level of personal hygiene standards.
- Monitor and update stock levels on warehouse computer and keep strict traceability records on production.
- Measuring, grading and feeding batches of raw materials into production machinery and operating production line equipment.
- Packaging goods ready for shipment.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
- Previous experience within Food Manufacturing is ideal but not essential
- Able to communicate at different levels with confidence
- Good level of English (both spoken and written) and Maths
- Good time keeping and attendance
- Ability to work well as an individual and as a team
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to work quickly and methodically
- Practical skills to operate machinery
The shift pattern for the role is working Monday to Thursday 6am to 4pm with an hourly rate of £12.71 plus a £1.50 shift allowance per hour.
Overtime is available, paying up to £25.42 per hour (dependent on hours/days worked)
Pay: £14.21 per hour
