Xpert Workwear develops work clothing and footwear for rural environments, built to withstand the toughest real-world demands. Our distribution warehouse is based in Mallusk, Newtownabbey.
Due to continued growth, we are recruiting for an experienced and reliable Warehouse Operative on a permanent, full-time basis. The candidate will join a small, friendly team (currently six staff) and will have a varied role completing tasks such as picking and packing orders, dealing with goods-in etc. to ensure that orders are fulfilled quickly and accurately.
The candidate will report to the Warehouse Manager.
This is an exciting opportunity to become a key team player in a family business with ambitious growth plans.
Key responsibilities include:
- Picking, checking, despatching and packing orders efficiently and accurately
- Stock management - organise, arrange and monitor stock to maximise efficiency
- Checking intake, booking into stock, ensure stock is in the correct location etc.
- Ensuring you are following the Company's Health and Safety procedures and that you maintain a safe working environment for you and your colleagues
- Maintain an organised and tidy warehouse at all times
Requirements:
- Be an excellent team player and promote a good positive attitude
- Be able to demonstrate a previous background in a warehouse environment
- Have previous forklift experience (further training can be made available)
- Have good literacy and numeracy skills
- Be able to work well under pressure, work to deadlines, as well as be adaptable
