We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Children Support Workers to join our team predominantly working Saturday and Sunday's, with options of after school support and extra hours in the school holidays; supporting under 18 year old's with learning and physical disabilities within the community.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and possess the ability to communicate effectively. It’s a varied and flexible role; a challenging yet rewarding position; helping to enhance children’s lives by encouraging them to participate in positive activities and in meeting their needs. You will be required to build a trusting relationship and provide emotional support to young people who may have complex needs and present challenging behavior's.
We have families across Suffolk looking for immediate weekend support. For the right person this is a permanent role.
Immediately recruiting in Lowestoft and surrounding areas.
Duties
- Personal care and support, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times.
- Support within the family home and in the community
- Communicate regularly with children to understand their needs and preferences, fostering a trusting relationship.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in behaviour or health to the relevant professionals.
- Support within the community attending activities including and not limited too; local parks, zoo's, farm's, cinema, bowling and swimming.
The right candidates will;
- Have previous experience of working with complex needs and challenging behavior's,
- Be positive, caring and supportive,
- Have good communication skills and and be an excellent listener,
- Be committed to providing support in positively changing a young person’s life.
- Be a driver with access to own car and business insurance
Paying £13.50 per hour. Any activities with the child will be paid for and mileage for any community work is paid at 45p per mile
