Are you an experienced Drainage Engineer ready to step into a supervisory role?
We’re looking for a motivated and skilled Drainage Supervisor to help manage the day-to-day running of our commercial drainage division. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career with a well-established nationwide plumbing and drainage company.
You’ll split your time between the office and the field, supporting engineers, ensuring high standards of work, and helping drive operational success.
- This is a varied position combining hands-on drainage work with office-based coordination and support. You’ll be responsible for overseeing engineers, managing workloads, maintaining standards, and ensuring health and safety compliance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising drainage engineers and supporting day-to-day operations
- Carrying out site visits, CCTV surveys, unblocks, and repairs as required
- Preparing quotes and advising clients on the best solutions
- Ensuring all work meets health & safety and company standards
- Planning jobs, managing schedules, and allocating resources effectively
- Providing technical support and training to field engineers
- Assisting management with operational reporting and process improvements
What We’re Looking For
We want someone who combines technical drainage expertise with leadership and organisational skills.
Essential:
- Proven experience in commercial drainage
- Strong understanding of drainage systems and repair methods
- Excellent working knowledge of health and safety
- Confined Space qualification
- HPWJ experience
- Full UK driving licence
- Confident communicator, able to liaise with clients and engineers alike
- Methodical approach with good problem-solving skills
Desirable:
- Experience in quoting and job pricing
- Previous team leader or supervisory experience
- Basic plumbing knowledge
- CCTV survey experience
