Grounds, Gardens & Trees Ltd (GGT Ltd) is a growing contractor delivering grounds maintenance, landscaping, fencing, and vegetation management services across the UK. We work with local authorities, frameworks, Tier 1 contractors, and commercial clients.
We are seeking a Commercial & Estimating Manager to take full ownership of estimating, pricing, and commercial growth. This is a senior, standalone role with real influence over margins, client relationships, and work-winning.
This is not a junior role. We want someone confident, experienced, and ready to step in and lead commercially from day one.
Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of all estimating and pricing activity
- Lead pricing for frameworks, negotiated contracts, and ad-hoc projects
- Attend client meetings and present tenders where appropriate
- Proactively follow up on tenders and identify growth opportunities
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Align pricing with operational delivery, margin strategy, and risk management
- Track opportunities and contribute to business growth strategy
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ estimating experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, civils, highways, utilities, or similar
- Proven commercial experience: pricing, tendering, and client engagement
- Confident and proactive, capable of taking ownership of work and client relationships
- Strong commercial judgement and practical understanding of operational realities
- Full UK driving licence
- Comfortable working independently, but able to collaborate with MD and Contracts Manager
