As an Assistant Management Accountant, you will perform accounting tasks across the Betable
Group that will support the finance director to ensure that the department runs smoothly to
achieve a timely month end close.
Responsibilities
- Purchase ledger maintenance (suppliers and affiliates) including inputting invoices, authorisation of invoices, preparation of ad-hoc and monthly payment runs.
- Handling any supplier queries regarding payments.
- Liaise with senior management regarding new suppliers and clients.
- Sales ledger maintenance including raising invoices and statements of account, as well as monitoring credit control. Providing for bad debts where appropriate.
- PO management, including responding to queries.
- Liaise with marketing team colleagues regarding client spend reconciliation, ensuring client funds are allocated correctly.
- Processing of employee expense claims.
- Bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Posting of monthly journals including payroll, accruals, prepayments and depreciation. As well as revenue and game fees.
- Intercompany billing and reconciliation process.
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Preparation of quarterly VAT returns and submission to HMRC upon FD approval .
- Preparation of quarterly POCT and Levy returns and submission to HMRC upon FD approval.
- Preparation of quarterly Gaming duty return and submission to HM Government of Gibraltar upon FD approval.
- Assist HR in the successfully completion of monthly payroll submissions, including timely submission of PAYE payments to HMRC.
- Timely payroll payments to a small number of staff outside of UK payroll.
- Submit monthly upload of pensions to online portal, and submit payment.
- Assist in the month-end closure process.
- Assist in the group reporting process.
- Perform other relevant duties as required.
Previous relevant experience within a finance department.- University degree in Accounting and Finance or similar.
- Knowledge and understanding of accounts software packages – Xero etc.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent organisation and administrative skills with attention to detail essential.
- Good communication skills and ability to liaise with and influence all levels of management and operational staff.
- Ability to work effectively and to deadlines.
- Ability to work in a team environment, but also to work on own initiative being adaptive and flexible.
