Job Summary
We are seeking a professional HGV Class 2 Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery and collection of soft drinks, using a curtain sider with tail lift. 95% of drops fork lift on/off. This role requires a dedicated individual with a strong focus on safety, punctuality, and excellent driving skills. Responsibilities
- Operate a curtain sider in compliance with all relevant road safety and transport regulations
- Safely load, secure, and unload soft drinks ensuring their integrity during transit using our internal kite system.
- Plan delivery routes efficiently to meet scheduled deadlines
- Conduct vehicle checks prior to each shift, including inspections of tyres, brakes, lights, and load security
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs using our POD signing portal.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery schedules or issues
- Adhere to all health and safety policies while handling goods and operating vehicles
Experience
- Proven experience as a commercial delivery driver, preferably with tail lift experience.
- Demonstrable driving skills with a clean driving licence for HGV Class 2 (category C)
- Prior experience in delivery driver roles involving the transportation of goods by road
- Familiarity with road regulations and safety procedures for commercial vehicles
- Experience in securing loads on flatbed lorries is desirable but not essential; training will be provided if necessary
