Personal Assistant in Ashington for energetic young boy who Loves football, swimming & the park
Are you energetic, fun, and passionate about helping children build confidence and independence?
A lively, boisterous, and fun-seeking young boy is looking for a Personal Assistant to support him during weekend activities and community outings. He loves keeping active and enjoys swimming, football, the Park, WWE, and anything that involves movement, adventure, and having fun.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys getting involved rather than standing on the sidelines. The successful applicant will support him to access activities safely, develop social skills, build independence away from his main carers and enjoy new experiences in the community.
Due to his learning disability and ADHD, he requires constant supervision and support to stay safe, as he has very limited awareness of danger and risk. He responds best to someone who is positive, engaging, and able to provide clear guidance and boundaries while encouraging his independence.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is physically active and enjoys taking part in activities
- Has a fun, enthusiastic, and patient approach
- Has experience or a good understanding of ADHD and learning disabilities
- Can support socialisation, community access, and independence skills
- Is reliable, caring, and able to build a positive relationship
Prompting and support with toileting are required. Constant supervision is needed when using disabled toilet facilities, and the Personal Assistant must be able to support and reinforce appropriate boundaries.
Hours- 4 hours per week
- Weekend working
- 52 weeks per year
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference to a young person's confidence, independence and quality of life while sharing in the activities he enjoys most. If you are active, supportive, and ready to get involved, we'd love to hear from you.
