Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Breakfast Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of breakfast dishes, ensuring high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a diverse range of breakfast dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety and hygiene regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing, sanitising, and storing utensils and equipment
- Assist in meal planning and ingredient preparation to optimise workflow during peak hours
- Monitor stock levels of ingredients and notify management of shortages or needs for reordering
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently to create a safe working environment for all team members
- Contribute to the development of new breakfast menu items in line with current trends and customer preferences
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or as a kitchen assistant within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Previous experience working with breakfast menus or in a similar culinary role is desirable
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy morning periods
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and quality
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
- A recognised culinary qualification or relevant training is advantageous but not essential
