Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation within our premises, ensuring a welcoming and hygienic environment for guests and staff alike. Previous experience in hotel or hospitality is highly desirable. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a professional setting.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping staff to ensure efficient and effective cleaning services
- Conduct regular inspections of premises to maintain cleanliness standards and address any issues promptly
- Train new team members on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and customer service expectations
- Schedule shifts and assign tasks to optimise workforce productivity
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring timely replenishment
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and address any concerns or special requests
- Enforce health and safety regulations in the workplace to ensure a secure environment for all staff and visitors
- Maintain accurate records of staff attendance, performance, and training activities
Skills
- Proven experience in housekeeping management or supervisory roles within the hospitality or facilities management sectors
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to liaise effectively with team members and clients
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality service experiences
- Valid driving licence is preferred, as some travel between sites may be required
- Ability to motivate and lead a diverse team, fostering a positive working environment
- Good problem-solving skills with the capacity to handle unforeseen issues swiftly and professionally
