Overview
We are seeking an energetic and friendly Hotel Receptionist to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a smooth and welcoming check-in experience while providing exceptional guest services. Your enthusiasm and professionalism will help foster a positive atmosphere that reflects our commitment to hospitality excellence.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in and check-out procedures efficiently.
- Manage guest inquiries via phone, email, and in person with professionalism and courtesy, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
- Provide information about hotel facilities, local attractions, and services to enhance guest experience.
- Handle reservations, cancellations, and modifications accurately using the hotel management system.
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest rooms are prepared to high standards.
- Address guest concerns promptly and effectively, escalating issues when necessary to ensure satisfaction.
- Maintain a tidy and organized reception area while adhering to health and safety standards.
Requirements
- Previous hotel or hospitality experience is highly desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- The position operates on a shift basis, 5 over 7 days. Must be aware of an willing to work this pattern. 7am until 3.30pm or 2.30pm -11pm , this involves weekend working.
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are a strong advantage for serving our diverse guest base.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on friendly, professional interaction.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail when managing reservations and guest requests.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure while handling multiple tasks efficiently.
- Knowledge of hospitality industry standards and guest service principles is preferred.
- A positive attitude coupled with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
