Following the retirement of a longstanding team member, we are looking for a friendly, organised and proactive full time Front of House/Receptionist to join our team.
The Role
As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth day to day running of the practice. Whether welcoming patients, answering telephone enquiries, responding to emails or helping manage the flow of appointments throughout the day, you will help create the warm and professional experience that our practice is known for.
This is a busy and varied role. No two days are quite the same, so you will need to be comfortable prioritising tasks, adapting quickly and remaining calm under pressure.
Typical responsibilities include:
- Greeting and checking in patients
- Booking appointments accurately
- Answering telephone and email enquiries
- Completing NHS and practice paperwork
- Processing payments and managing transactions
- Ordering contact lenses and practice supplies
- Supporting the smooth running of clinics throughout the day
- Maintaining a tidy and welcoming practice environment
- Assisting with patient queries and follow-up requests
- Carrying out preliminary patient examinations following training

Previous experience in optics is welcome but not essential as full training will be provided. As mentioned the role is full time, with our working days running 8:45-5:15 midweek (except Tuesdays which are an 8:30am start) and will include alternate Saturdays (8:45am until 4pm)
