Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Concession Manager to oversee daily operations at our concession stand. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service. This role involves supervising staff, managing sales and merchandising, and ensuring the smooth functioning of the concession area. The position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with retail management experience to lead a team in a fast-paced environment, ensuring operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the concession team, ensuring high standards of customer service and operational efficiency
- Manage daily sales transactions, cash handling, and inventory control with accuracy and integrity
- Oversee merchandising displays to maximise sales potential and maintain visual appeal
- Develop staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during operating hours
- Train new team members on company policies, customer service protocols, and safety procedures
- Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to meet or exceed targets
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the concession area in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally via phone or in person
- Coordinate with suppliers for stock replenishment and manage stock levels effectively
- Prepare reports on sales, inventory, and staff performance for senior management
Qualifications
- Proven management experience within retail or food service environments
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and organisational abilities
- Experience in supervising staff, managing sales targets, and merchandising strategies
- Organisational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy setting
- Administrative experience related to stock control and reporting processes
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are desirable to enhance communication with diverse customers
- Demonstrated time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Previous experience in retail or sales management is advantageous
- A proactive attitude with excellent organisational skills to ensure smooth daily operations
