Marketing Executive
Location: Glasgow – Hybrid
Company: European Safety Bureau
Job Type: Full-time
About European Safety Bureau
European Safety Bureau (ESB) is an established assurance and consultancy business with more than 38 years of experience supporting organisations with food safety, health & safety, fire safety, auditing, training and operational risk.
We work with multi-site businesses across sectors including contract catering, hotels, care, QSR, leisure and hospitality.
Our business has historically grown through reputation, long-standing customer relationships and technical expertise. We are now investing in marketing to make that expertise more visible, create stronger sector campaigns and generate new commercial opportunities.
We are looking for a hands-on Marketing Executive to join our team in Glasgow.
The Role
This is a varied B2B marketing role for someone who enjoys creating content, building campaigns and turning technical expertise into clear, engaging marketing.
You will work closely with our Revenue Marketing Manager to support ESB’s growth across content, customer marketing, sector campaigns, digital activity, thought leadership and sales enablement.
This is not a role where you will simply schedule social posts.
You will help turn the knowledge of our auditors, consultants and customers into useful marketing material that demonstrates why ESB is a trusted assurance partner for complex, multi-site organisations.
One week you might be creating a hotel-sector campaign, the next interviewing an auditor for an article, building a customer case study, updating a landing page or supporting a benchmark report.
What You’ll Be Doing
Your responsibilities will include:
- Creating and delivering B2B marketing campaigns
- Writing email campaigns, website copy, blogs, articles and LinkedIn content
- Producing customer case studies and testimonials
- Interviewing auditors and consultants to turn technical insight into marketing content
- Supporting sector-specific campaigns for areas such as contract catering, hotels, care, QSR and leisure
- Supporting thought-leadership campaigns
- Creating customer newsletters and communications
- Updating website and landing-page content
- Producing sales collateral, one-pagers and presentation material
- Supporting benchmark and research-led campaigns
- Researching target markets, companies, competitors and buyer audiences
- Creating simple visual assets using tools such as Canva or Adobe
- Supporting webinars, events and industry activity
- Helping maintain campaign calendars and project trackers
- Monitoring campaign performance and supporting reporting
- Repurposing content across email, LinkedIn, web and sales channels
- Supporting existing-customer cross-sell and account-growth activity
Turning Expertise Into Marketing
A particularly important part of this role will be helping ESB make better use of the expertise already within the business.
Our consultants and auditors see thousands of real-world operational issues every year.
You may work with them to develop content around subjects such as:
- Common food safety failures
- Operational risk across multi-site businesses
- Audit and assurance strategy
- Regulatory developments
- Brand and reputation protection
- Consistency across large estates
- Lessons from customer and sector experience
You do not need to arrive with technical expertise in these areas.
You do need to be curious enough to learn, ask good questions and turn complex information into content that senior business audiences can understand.
Customer Proof and Case Studies
ESB has a long history and strong customer relationships, but there is a significant opportunity to make more of that proof visible.
You will help:
- Research customer relationships
- Prepare interview questions
- Coordinate customer interviews
- Draft case studies
- Identify useful quotes and proof points
- Produce one-page customer stories
- Build and maintain a proof library
- Repurpose case studies into social, email and sales content
Sector Campaigns
You will support campaigns aimed at specific markets rather than producing generic marketing.
This may include campaigns for:
- Contract catering
- Hotels and hotel management companies
- Care groups
- QSR
- Leisure and hospitality
You will help research the audience, create the required marketing assets and coordinate campaign delivery.
Benchmark and Insight Campaigns
ESB has the opportunity to use its experience and industry knowledge to create research-led marketing.
You may support:
- Sector surveys
- Benchmark reports
- Landing pages
- Email campaigns
- LinkedIn content
- Respondent communications
- Insight articles
- Supporting sales material
These campaigns are designed to create useful industry insight while also generating conversations with potential customers.
What We’re Looking For
You may already be working as a Marketing Executive, Marketing Assistant, Marketing Coordinator or in another early-career marketing role.
Experience in some of the following would be useful:
- B2B marketing
- Content creation and copywriting
- Email marketing
- LinkedIn and social media
- WordPress or another CMS
- Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
- CRM and email marketing tools
- Basic video editing
- Campaign reporting and analytics
- Customer communications
- Market and competitor research
- Case-study creation
- Project coordination
Experience in food safety, health & safety or auditing is not essential.
We can teach you the technical subject matter.
What matters more is your ability to understand an audience, communicate clearly and turn a brief into high-quality finished work.
The Person
You will probably enjoy this role if you are:
- A strong writer
- Commercially curious
- Interested in learning technical subject matter
- Organised and dependable
- Comfortable speaking with subject-matter experts
- Confident asking questions
- Able to manage several projects at once
- Comfortable receiving feedback
- Proactive rather than waiting for every next step
- Interested in B2B and professional-services marketing
- Focused on producing finished work rather than simply generating ideas
What Success Looks Like
Within your first few months, we would expect you to be able to:
- Clearly explain what ESB does and why customers use us
- Understand our major sectors and buyer groups
- Turn auditor and consultant expertise into strong marketing content
- Produce campaign assets with limited supervision
- Build high-quality customer case studies
- Support sector and benchmark campaigns
- Maintain website and email content
- Support customer communications
- Keep marketing projects moving
- Provide clear campaign reporting
- Bring recommendations rather than simply waiting for instructions
Why Join ESB?
This is an opportunity to join an established business at a point where marketing is becoming a much bigger part of its growth strategy.
You will have access to:
- Nearly four decades of industry experience
- Experienced auditors and consultants
- Long-standing customer relationships
- Real operational data and insight
- Multiple sectors to market into
- The opportunity to help build ESB’s marketing engine rather than simply inherit one
For someone early in their marketing career who wants broad B2B experience, real responsibility and exposure to both content and commercial marketing, there is significant scope to develop.
If you enjoy learning, writing, creating campaigns and turning expert knowledge into useful marketing, we would love to hear from you.
Pay: £27,000.00-£29,000.00 per year
