Salary: £32,000 - £35,000 per annum (commensurate with skills/experience/qualifications)
Contract Type: Full-time (37.5 hours a week, 9.00 am to 5.00 pm, Mon to Fri)

With over 35 years’ experience, Sulney Nursery supplies trees and shrubs nationwide, while Carrier Landscapes is a trusted partner to leading UK housebuilders and commercial organisations. Employed by Sulney Nursery, this role will support finance activities across both businesses, offering broad exposure across a varied and growing Group finance function.
The Opportunity
This is an ideal opportunity for someone currently working as an Assistant Management Accountant, Management Accountant or Assistant Finance Manager who is looking for a hands-on role with greater responsibility and wider commercial exposure.
Rather than managing a finance team, you'll become a key business partner, supporting Operations and Senior Managers with meaningful financial information and helping drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing monthly management accounts and supporting month-end reporting
- Maintaining the sales and purchase ledgers, includes payment runs and day to day banking activities
- Preparing and managing monthly payroll (outsourced), ensuring accuracy and compliance, within strict deadlines
- Producing stock and operational performance reports
- Monitoring financial performance against budgets and forecasts
- Supporting year-end accounts and audit preparation
- Preparing VAT returns and supporting statutory compliance
- Bank, balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations
- Working closely with operational teams to improve financial reporting and commercial performance
- Supporting the implementation of automation to improve efficiency across the finance function
Pay: £32,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
