To lead the development, management and continuous improvement of the company's Master Production Schedule (MPS), ensuring customer demand is translated into a robust, achievable manufacturing plan.
The role is responsible for balancing demand, capacity, inventory and resource availability whilst providing strategic planning information to support operational decision making, on-time delivery and business growth.
Working cross-functionally with Sales, Engineering, Procurement and Production, the role drives planning excellence through data analysis, KPI management and continuous improvement.
This role will include:
- Own and maintaining the Master Production Schedule, optimising production flow across all manufacturing areas.
- Ensuring supply aligns with demand and challenge unrealistic delivery expectations.
- Leading cross-functional planning meetings with Sales, Engineering, Procurement and Production to align demand, capacity and delivery priorities.
- Supporting the Contract Review process.
- Analysing current and future manufacturing capacity, recommending actions to mitigate bottlenecks, maximise machine utilisation and support business growth.
- Recommending and demonstrating improvements to manufacturing efficiency.
- Develop and maintaining lead time strategies that balance customer expectations, manufacturing capability and business objectives regularly reviewing performance and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Improving ERP/MRP data accuracy
Skills and experience required:
- APICS/CPIM qualification.
- Knowledge of AS9100 and Experience working in aerospace manufacturing.
- Capacity planning and finite scheduling.
- ERP/MRP Expertise.
- Root cause analysis and ability to identify trends and make data driven decisions.
- Decision making under pressure.
- Strong Commercial awareness.
