We are looking for a qualified PSV Transport Manager to support a London based passenger transport operation. We currently operate ONE Minibuss. The successful candidate must hold a recognised Transport Manager Certificate of Professional Competence for Passenger Transport / PSV and be suitable to be nominated on a PSV operator licence.
Key responsibilities:
* Provide continuous and effective management of the PSV transport operation
* Oversee operator licence compliance and Transport Commissioner requirements
* Manage vehicle maintenance systems, safety inspections, PMI schedules, defect reporting, and record keeping
* Monitor driver compliance, including licence checks, Driver CPC, drivers’ hours, tachograph or domestic hours records where applicable
* Ensure vehicles are roadworthy, insured, taxed, tested, and correctly documented
* Maintain audit-ready records and support DVSA / Traffic Commissioner compliance expectations
* Advise on safe and compliant scheduling, vehicle allocation, and operational controls
* Support the business with compliance improvements, risk management, and staff training where required
Essential requirements:
* Transport Manager CPC for Passenger Transport / PSV
* Good understanding of PSV operator licensing and passenger transport compliance
* Experience with minibuses, coaches, buses, school transport, SEND transport, private hire, or similar passenger operations
* Ability to commit sufficient hours for the fleet size and operating centre arrangements
* Good repute and no undisclosed Traffic Commissioner issues, disqualifications, or serious compliance history
* Strong record keeping, communication, and compliance management skills
Desirable:
* Previous experience as a named Transport Manager on a PSV operator licence
* Experience dealing with DVSA inspections, compliance audits, public inquiries, or operator licence applications
* Knowledge of London / Greater London operating conditions
* Recent Transport Manager CPC refresher training or relevant CPD
