The Role
As a Finance Assistant, you'll play a key role in ensuring financial transactions, reconciliations and records are processed accurately and efficiently. Working closely with colleagues across the Finance team, you'll manage multiple priorities and contribute to the smooth running of departmental activities.
This role offers hands-on exposure to financial accounting, transactional finance and commercial finance processes, providing an excellent foundation for career development.
Key Responsibilities

Take ownership of at least six balance sheet accounts, including reconciliation, review and transaction management.

Manage weekly Finance post, ensuring correspondence is distributed and actioned promptly.

Audit monthly billing activity, ensuring invoices are accurate and compliant with company procedures.

Prepare and process recharges to client projects and overhead accounts.

Maintain finance records, including Direct Debit and recurring transaction documentation.

Support continuous improvement and take ownership of finance processes as your experience develops.

Assist with internal and external audit requests.

Raise client invoices accurately and within agreed deadlines.

Prepare and post journals.

Provide ad hoc support across the wider Finance team as required.
About You
We're looking for someone who combines strong attention to detail with excellent communication and organisational skills.
You'll Bring:

Previous experience working within a finance or accounting environment.

A desire to study towards (or already be studying) an ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification.

Strong numerical and analytical skills.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

The ability to manage workload effectively and meet month-end and quarter-end deadlines.

Confidence communicating financial information to a variety of stakeholders.

A proactive, inquisitive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
