Duties
- Fabricate custom wood and metal components according to project specifications using hand tools and power tools
- Assemble structural elements such as frames, partitions, or fixtures with precision and attention to detail
- Install roofing systems, ensuring proper alignment, sealing, and safety standards are met
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely to move materials and equipment around the site
- Conduct construction painting, finishing surfaces to meet quality standards
- Assist with plumbing, masonry, or electrical tasks as needed to support integrated building projects
- Use carpentry and joinery techniques to create durable furniture, cabinetry or structural components
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times
Experience
- Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, carpentry or joinery within a construction environment
- Skilled in the use of hand tools such as saws, chisels, hammers, and screwdrivers
- Proficient with power tools including drills, saws, sanders, and nail guns
- Knowledge of roofing techniques and materials
- Experience with heavy lifting equipment or manual handling procedures
- Familiarity with construction painting techniques and finishing work
- Basic understanding of plumbing systems, masonry work or electrical wiring is advantageous
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform demanding tasks over extended periods
