Summary of position:
You will be working within the conveyancing department supporting clients with their transactions. You will be running a caseload under supervision. You will be able to progress different transaction types from start to finish, from a legal and administrative perspective.
On a day-to-day basis you will be progressing client transactions and liaising with clients, estate agents, other law firms and brokers where necessary.
You will ensure a high level of client care and file compliance, training for which will be given on a regular basis.
Primary Responsibilities
- Agree the strategy of cases with supervisor and taking Instructions and advising clients on Legal matters relevant to their cases.
- Building strong relationships with clients.
- Attend conferences with clients.
- Ensure compliance on files is carried out including carry out risk assessments and file reviews.
- Handle communication with clients, solicitors and third parties.
- Drafting and preparing legal documents, forms, bundles and correspondence under supervision.
- Adhere to deadlines.
- Collaborating with the Conveyancing Department to deliver a seamless service.
Person Specification
Qualifications & Training
- Law degree or equivalent.
Experience
- Previous experience in a fast-paced office environment.
- A Minimum of 12 months of working within the field.
Qualities and Attitudes
- Communication skills: You will be working with a wide range of people, from clients, estate agent and other solicitors and so the ability to communicate well and in a professional manner is essential.
- Written communication skills: excellent spelling and grammar. A high level of written English
- Attention to detail: high level of accuracy when preparing legal documents.
- Teamwork: able to work with well with the wider team to ensure a seamless service for clients.
- Strong sense of discretion
- Demonstrate that they can cope well under pressure.
Knowledge
- MS Office and ability to work with legal technology (court-filing computer systems, transcription software, Dictaphone etc)
- Legal terminology and regulations.

Pay: £30,000.00 per year
