We are currently seeking to recruit a Yard Assistant who will be responsible for carrying out yard duties at both our Ingham (Bury St Edmunds) and Ipswich compounds.
Applicants must be smart in appearance with a professional attitude, have excellent customer service skills, excellent punctuality & attendance, be observant, able to complete comprehensive incident reports, and have a drive to ensure the job is completed to the highest standards.
Communicate clearly, proactively, and professionally to customers, management and colleagues alike and treat everyone with respect.
Duties would include:
Ensuring the yard, SOCO and stores areas are kept safe, tidy & secure.
Movement, Loading and Unloading of vehicles as directed by the admin team, ensuring collections are ready along with the completion of the relevant paperwork.
Managing customer collections and property collections.
Completing inception paperwork, by recording any damage to vehicles, taking photos and logging of property in a timely manner.
Recording all property within vehicles and maintaining property rotation and disposal lists.
Ensuring racking, is neat and tidy and cars are stored in a safe manner paying attention to current health and safety procedures.
Compliance with H&S rules and procedures
General housekeeping duties, office and kitchen areas.
The model candidate would have:
Full UK driving licence is essential to the role as you will be driving manual, automatic & electric vehicle.
FLT licence desirable (Teleporter)
DBS vetting (this will be completed whilst in situ)
Attend training and to develop relevant knowledge and skills.
Provision of uniform and PPE where required.
Terms and Conditions
Pay: starting at £13.46 per hour depending on knowledge, skills, and experience
Hours: Monday – Friday 8.00am – 5pm
