Small 17 bed care home. To cook nutritious meals, adhere to dietary requirements, to keep stock rotation, kitchen areas clean, check food stock. Included alternative weekend.
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cook/Chef to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing nutritional meals, effective working with other kitchen staff, and ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a background in food industry.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Manage food production processes, ensuring timely delivery of meals
- Oversee food safety practices and maintain cleanliness in accordance with health regulations
- Assist in menu planning and ingredient sourcing to optimise quality and cost-efficiency
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers for timely replenishment of stock
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation & cooking
- knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene regulations
- organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Good communication skills
- Previous experience in food production
