Delivery & Fleet Supervisor – Bristol
Furnished Homes is expanding, and we're looking for an experienced Delivery & Fleet Supervisor to oversee our Bristol delivery operation.
This is a leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment and enjoys developing teams, improving processes, and maintaining high operational standards. Rather than driving, your focus will be on leading people, managing fleet compliance, and ensuring every delivery is completed safely and efficiently.
You'll play a key role in creating a positive, accountable culture by supporting your team, addressing performance issues when needed, and ensuring Health & Safety and compliance remain at the heart of everything we do.
What You'll Be Responsible For
- Leading and supervising a team of delivery drivers.
- Managing the day-to-day operation of the delivery fleet.
- Ensuring all vehicle inspections, servicing, defect reporting, and compliance requirements are completed.
- Carrying out regular vehicle, driver, and delivery audits.
- Monitoring driver performance, attendance, and conduct.
- Ensuring Risk Assessments and Dynamic Risk Assessments are completed and followed.
- Investigating accidents, incidents, vehicle damage, and near misses.
- Reviewing photographs, videos, telematics, and other evidence following incidents.
- Ensuring company Health & Safety policies are followed at all times.
- Coaching and developing delivery teams to improve performance and standards.
- Managing difficult conversations professionally, fairly, and confidently.
- Working closely with the Drivers & Fleet Manager to continually improve operational performance.
- Supporting other company locations when required.
We're Looking For Someone Who
- Has previous experience supervising delivery, transport, or logistics teams.
- Has excellent knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and operational compliance.
- Has strong administrative skills and can maintain accurate records, reports, and compliance documentation.
- Is organised, methodical, and has excellent attention to detail.
- Is confident handling challenging situations and difficult conversations.
- Can hold employees accountable while remaining fair and professional.
- Has excellent communication and people management skills.
- Can prioritise workloads in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Is confident using Microsoft Office and other operational systems.
- Holds a full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
- IOSH Managing Safely qualification.
- First Aid at Work qualification.
- Experience within furniture or home delivery operations.
- Experience using fleet management or telematics systems.
- Experience investigating workplace accidents or incidents.
