We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Domestic Cleaner to join our friendly team at our 22-bed residential care home for older adults.
As part of our domestic team, you will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout residents' bedrooms, en-suite facilities, bathrooms, and toilets, helping to provide a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment. Our residents have a range of health needs, including dementia and mental health conditions, so a compassionate and respectful approach is essential.
The successful applicant will:
- Have a keen eye for detail and take pride in maintaining high cleaning standards.
- Be hardworking, energetic, and able to work independently.
- Treat all residents with dignity, kindness, and respect while carrying out their duties.
- Follow all infection prevention and control procedures and safe cleaning practices.
- Report directly to the Home Manager or designated senior each day.
- Be willing to undertake all required training, including the correct use of PPE.
Hours of work:
- 9:30am – 1:30pm
- 2 or 3 days per week
- Working every other weekend
- Flexibility is essential, as overtime and short-notice cover may occasionally be required.
Full training will be provided, including the correct use and changing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Experience in a care or healthcare setting is desirable but not essential, as full support will be given to the right candidate.
