Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment, supporting chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations. Responsibilities
- Washing and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, and pans efficiently
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen team
- Ensuring the cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and kitchen equipment
- Supporting the organisation of storage areas and stock rotation
- Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures in line with health and safety standards
- Maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety throughout the kitchen environment
- Supporting the team during busy service periods to ensure timely delivery of food
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is desirable but not essential
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment under supervision
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn new skills related to culinary and hospitality services
- A positive attitude and team-oriented approach to work
