Full job description

We have an exciting, brand new opportunity within our Aspris Central team, adding a Programme Director to our already established Estates Team.

The role will entail working closely with our Executive Committee, taking full responsibility and accountability to ensure the delivery of major growth initiatives linked to new site acquisitions and developments - including, delivering increased capacity in the number of school places across Aspris’ current portfolio and enabling Aspris to continue to raise potential.

What exactly will a Programme Director for Aspris do?

Work with operational and estates experts, coordinate and lead initial assessments as to options and viability of potential new sites and developments in line with the approved Aspris Growth Strategy.
Visit potential sites and services to assess growth suitability.
Act as project lead through process from site acquisition to delivery of ‘Business as Usual’, which includes working with respective operational and central departments to get the service operationally ready to time, quality, cost and performance.
Implement and manage resource allocation plans needed for delivery of projects including identification and management of critical resource requirements. Secure resources needed for projects from internal and external sources.
Engage with and lead stakeholder relationships including internal and external parties, taking account of their levels of influence and particular interests.

What does this mean for our current portfolio and how will a Programme Director work towards our growth strategy?

Programme manage the Education Division activity linked to growth strategy, aligning with business objectives and commercial priorities.
Assist scoping and design process to ensure the project is in line with Aspris Growth Strategy and maintain definitions of the project requirements.
Manage the associated regulatory and registration activity, such as school material change. Liaise as required with external stakeholders (including regulatory bodies) to ensure process remains streamlined.
In conjunction with Heads of Department, coordinate wider activity that delivers Operational growth, including HR, Finance, IT, Business Development and Quality.
Identify and monitor project risks (threats and opportunities), plan and implement mitigations to them, and respond to other issues that affect projects.
Establish and maintain governance arrangements for the delivery of projects, defining clear roles, responsibilities and accountabilities that align with organisational practice. Managing project reviews at appropriate points throughout the project lifecycle which will inform governance decisions of projects by providing evaluations of progress, performance, risk, costs, contingency and continuing relevance.
Establish, and implement where necessary, protocols to change the scope of projects and update configuration documents as required.
Lead cross-functional teams to deliver transformation and growth programmes on time and within budget.

What do we need from you?

Demonstratable experience of working as a Programme Director or equivalent role in a similar sector for a minimum of 7 years.
Significant demonstratable experience leading business growth initiatives, including new build set up, organic growth and repurposing of services.
Courageous leadership style a leader who is able to inspire, coach and motivate others. Both in their team and the wider organisation.
Compelling track record of successfully managing multi-site programme activities.
Technical excellence programme/project management qualifications with deep understanding of how to successfully deliver complex projects.
Commercially astute with excellent communication and leadership skills.
High levels of personal credibility, professionalism and ethical standards.
