Retail & Post Office Team Member – Village Shop
Location: Appledore
Working Pattern: 5 days per week, including weekend rotation ( working 1 day) minimum of 24hrs to 35hrs)
Salary: Up to £12.75 per hour + perks
Are you passionate about retail and love working with people? We’re looking for a friendly and reliable Retail Team Member to join our grocery store team in Appledore.
This is a hands-on retail role in our bustling grocers – ideal for someone who enjoys delivering excellent customer service, keeping things organised, and taking pride in well-presented shelves.
What You’ll Do:
- Work as part of our in-store retail team, supporting the day-to-day running of the shop
- Deliver warm, helpful and attentive service to our customers
- Ensure shelves are well-stocked and tidy, rotating stock and merchandising fresh produce
- Handle deliveries efficiently and maintain accurate stock records
- Assist with stock takes and receiving deliveries
- Keep the store looking its best, working quickly and methodically during busy periods
- Take part in a weekend rota, with flexibility to cover holidays and busy times
What You’ll Bring:
- Previous retail experience in a customer-facing role (essential)
- A genuine interest in food, drink and great service
- A team spirit with the ability to work independently
- Calm and professional under pressure
- Strong communication, numeracy and IT skills
- A friendly, down-to-earth attitude and sense of humour
- Ideally Post Office trained (but if not training provided)
