Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Residential Support Worker to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality care and support to children within a residential setting, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and development. The successful candidate will have experience working with children, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised care plans tailored to each child's individual needs, promoting their emotional and behavioural development.
- Supervise daily activities, including educational, recreational, and social programmes, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
- Support children with their daily routines such as meal times, personal hygiene, and bedtime routines.
- Foster positive relationships with children, offering guidance, encouragement, and emotional support.
- Maintain accurate records of each child's progress and any incidents in line with organisational policies.
- Collaborate with colleagues, social workers, and families to ensure consistent care delivery.
- Assist with transportation duties by driving children to appointments or activities when required.
- Contribute to the development and review of care plans in line with regulatory standards.
- Uphold health and safety standards within the residential setting at all times.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in a residential or childcare environment is essential.
- Valid driving licence and willingness to undertake driving duties as part of the role.
- Knowledge of childcare practices and child development principles.
- Ability to develop and implement effective care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Strong communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with children, families, and colleagues.
- Proficiency in IT systems for record keeping and reporting purposes.
- Compassionate nature with excellent organisational skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Relevant qualifications in childcare or social care are desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided for successful applicants.

Pay: £33,280.00-£37,440.60 per year
