Care is Central Residential is seeking motivated and passionate Catering Assistants to join the team at our, state-of-the-art, luxury residential care home in the heart of Leighton Buzzard.
As a Catering Assistant you will support the kitchen team to serve delicious, well-balanced and nutritious meals that our residents will love. Working as part of a team, you will help to provide a high-quality food service to support our residents' wellbeing. You will maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and will assist during the food preparation process.
Your key responsibilities of a Catering Assistant will include:
· Helping to prepare delicious, high-quality food that delights our clients and customers
· Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness of the kitchen and surrounding areas
· Ensuring the correct use of all machinery and equipment
· Assisting with the loading or unloading of deliveries and supply vehicles
· Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards
· Complying with Health & Safety regulations
· Ensure all cooking utensils and pots are cleaned to the required standards
· Carry out any tasks assigned by the Head / Second Chef or Home Manager

Requirements:
· Level 2 Health and Safety (will be provided)
· To be eligible to work in the UK (Please note we do not offer Sponsorship)
· Will to undertake food hygiene level 2 training
· Have strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
· Undertake an Enhanced DBS check (Paid for by us)
