Practice Manager – Multi-Site Private Dental Group

Face Teeth Smile is growing, and we are looking for an experienced, ambitious and commercially minded Practice Manager to join our team and help lead the next stage of our development.
We are a fully private, modern dental group currently operating across Gerrards Cross and Amersham, providing high-quality general dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, specialist dentistry, orthodontics and advanced facial aesthetics.
Face Teeth Smile is a highly digital and forward-thinking brand, with state-of-the-art facilities, digital scanners, advanced clinical technology, an on-site dental laboratory and a strong focus on delivering an exceptional patient experience.
As we continue to grow, we are looking for someone who can take ownership of the day-to-day management of our existing clinics while working closely with the Directors to help develop Face Teeth Smile into a larger multi-site dental group.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Dental Practice Manager who wants to progress beyond managing a single dental practice.
You will oversee the operational performance of our Gerrards Cross and Amersham clinics, supporting our clinical and non-clinical teams while maintaining the high standards associated with the Face Teeth Smile brand.
You will also play an important role in helping us develop the systems, processes and team structure required as we expand into additional locations.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the day-to-day operations of both Face Teeth Smile clinics
- Leading, motivating and developing the reception, nursing, treatment coordination and administrative teams
- Supporting clinicians to ensure clinics run efficiently and diaries are well utilised
- Managing team rotas, holidays, sickness and staffing requirements
- Recruitment, onboarding and ongoing development of team members
- Conducting regular one-to-ones, appraisals and performance reviews
- Setting and monitoring team KPIs
- Monitoring clinic performance, revenue, diary utilisation and operational efficiency
- Working closely with Treatment Coordinators and reception teams to improve patient conversion and customer experience
- Maintaining exceptional standards of patient care and customer service
- Managing and resolving patient queries and complaints professionally
- Ensuring excellent communication between both clinics and the wider team
- Maintaining CQC compliance, policies, audits and regulatory requirements
- Supporting HR processes and maintaining appropriate team documentation
- Working with suppliers and overseeing stock, equipment and operational expenditure
- Helping implement new systems and processes across the business
- Working closely with our marketing team to ensure the patient journey reflects the Face Teeth Smile brand
- Supporting clinic events, campaigns and new service launches
- Helping the Directors identify opportunities to improve profitability and efficiency
- Assisting with the planning and opening of future Face Teeth Smile locations
- Helping create scalable processes so that standards remain consistent as the group grows
Who We Are Looking For
Previous Dental Practice Management experience is essential.
Ideally, you will have experience working within a private dental group or multi-site dental organisation and understand the operational and commercial demands of running a successful private dental practice.
You should be:
- An experienced Dental Practice Manager
- Experienced in managing a busy private dental practice
- Ideally experienced within a multi-site dental group
- Commercially aware and comfortable working with KPIs and performance targets
- An excellent team leader who can motivate and hold people accountable
- Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities
- Confident managing different personalities and clinical teams
- Excellent at problem solving and decision making
- Passionate about delivering outstanding customer service
- Comfortable managing patient complaints and difficult situations
- Confident with dental software and new technology
- Tech savvy and comfortable working within a highly digital environment
- Professional, approachable and positive
- Proactive rather than reactive
- Someone who takes ownership and sees tasks through to completion

Position
Full-time, permanent
The role will involve working across both our Gerrards Cross and Amersham clinics, so the successful applicant must be comfortable travelling between locations.
Salary: Competitive and dependent on experience.
