Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Night Shift Warehouse Operative and become a vital part of our fast-paced logistics operation! This role offers an exciting opportunity to work overnight hours, ensuring the smooth and efficient handling of goods during the night. ( 20.00 - 04.00) On either a Sun - Thurs or Mon - Fri shift pattern.
Role purpose: The Warehouse Operative is there to deal with goods and products that come into the warehouse or a stockroom. Daily tasks would include, checking for damaged or missing items, moving stock around by hand or using forklift truck, picking and packing orders and keeping the paperwork up to date. You will need to adhered to our standards and processes relating to cases per hour, accuracy, vehicle fill, health & safety and food hygiene legislation.
Duties
- You will accurately read and use pick lists for customer orders and ensure that all products are assembled in a methodically stacked way to the highest standard for our customers
-Ensure collating and processing initial order sheets for incoming/outgoing good ensuring accuracy and quality of all goods Receipting stock onto the system for all delivery’s accepted into the warehouse System. (Including Frozen,Non-Food, Chilled and Alcohol)
- You will unload and load vehicles to make sure all goods in and out are recorded accurately if trained will use fork lift truck
- You will make sure pick & bulk locations are correctly labelled and report any errors to your supervisor
- You will be aware of and comply with health & safety policy requirements and procedure including wearing personal protective equipment
- You will be aware of and comply with all the requirements of the Food Standards policy and procedure
- You will ensuring picking/packing and all stock is labelled and stored correctly. You will tidy as you go and complete cleaning duties as required
- You will work with all team members to make sure that corporate goals, hourly picking rates, error rates and any other specific targets are consistently achieved and maintained
- Ensure that all equipment is maintained to company standards and all damages are recorded and stored according to damage procedures.
- As and when required and undertaken additional duties if necessary
Qualifications
- Proven experience working in a warehouse environment with familiarity in materials handling and stock management
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the shift
- Strong attention to detail for picking, packing, quality checks, and inventory accuracy
- Good communication skills to follow instructions clearly and work effectively within a team

Pay: £26,540.00-£28,932.00 per year
