Summary
The Governors of St. Annes Copp CE Primary School, Great Eccleston are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspiring teaching assistant who has experience in Early Years and/or KS1. The candidate should have high expectations and the drive to ensure our children achieve their true potential and ideally have an understanding of child development. St. Annes Copp CE Primary School, Great Eccleston is set in between two beautiful villages and serves a growing population. We have eight classes, including our pre-school.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of our pupils. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting the class teacher in the delivery of engaging and effective lessons.
- Providing whole-class, one-to-one and/or small group support to all pupils.
- Being a positive role model within our school family.
- Supporting pupil behaviour and promoting a positive learning atmosphere.
The successful candidate will:
- Be committed to upholding our school values and ethos.
- Have an understanding of child development.
- Have experience in supporting learning and development of children and be willing to undertake additional training.
- Build strong and positive relationships with the children, class teacher and families.
- Enhance the learning opportunities for the children.
- Welfare Assistant duties are included within this roll.
- Work closely with the class teacher to ensure continuity of learning and quality first teaching.

This position is temporary, full-time (32.5hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:30am until 3:30pm with 30 minute lunch), term time only.
This position is part time, term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro rata basis.

Essential Qualifications
- Maths and English GCSE or equivalent at Grade 4/C or above
