Responsibilities
- Build trusting relationships with children, offering emotional support and encouragement.
- Assist in implementing individualized care plans tailored to each child's needs.
- Support children with daily activities, including personal care, play, education, and social interactions.
- Collaborate with families, social workers, educators, and healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care.
- Maintain accurate records of progress, incidents, and care activities using IT systems.
- Promote positive behavior management strategies in line with organizational policies.
- Drive safely when transporting children or attending community activities as required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in a childcare or support setting.
- Valid driving license with a clean driving record; willingness to drive as part of the role.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, families, and team members.
- Knowledge of child development principles and ability to create supportive environments.
- Ability to develop and follow detailed care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Competence in using IT systems for record keeping and communication purposes.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings or weekends if necessary.
