Job Title: Assistant Manager (Children's Home)
Location: March, Cambridgeshire
Salary: £28,159 - £33,879 (dependent on experience) + £55 per sleep in shift
Juventas is looking for a multi-skilled, enthusiastic and dedicated Assistant Manager to assist the Registered Manager in the running of our registered children's home based in March, Cambridgeshire.
The role
Juventas cares for looked-after children in residential and semi-independent supported accommodation so they can live a positive and meaningful life as they approach adulthood.
As Assistant Manager you'll be:
- Providing care and support for looked after-children in a residential accommodation setting
- Working as a member of the homes staff team to provide children with the necessary guidance to enable them to live a positive and meaningful life as they approach adulthood
- Working on a shift basis to ensure children have their needs met and their welfare promoted while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism
- Reporting to and assist the Registered Manager with the effective day-to-day management of staff teams including induction, supervision, monitoring and development as well as completing annual appraisals
The ideal candidate
You'll have:
- At least 3 years' experience of working with children and young people
- At least 1 year's experience in a senior, managerial or team leader role
- Relevant educational or professional qualification(s)
- Level 3 NVQ/Diploma in Health and Social Care - Children and Young People and a good standard of secondary education
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to obtain business insurance
- The ability to identify the needs of young people
- An understanding of the importance of safeguarding young people
