CK Architectural is a well-established multi-award-winning architectural business operating across Yorkshire, delivering design and build management. In line with our successful growth and continuous expansion, we’re now looking for a new, passionate and skilled member of the team to help us take our design and project management services to the next level based in the Leeds area. The hybrid role will comprise a split of working from home, on site meetings and a minimum 2 days at our head office in Melton, East Yorkshire
Job Role and Responsibilities
As senior designer/architect you will be the face of the company in the Yorkshire region and report directly to the Managing Director of the business. You will meet potential clients with a keen, respectful, and positive attitude, giving great advice in line with their needs, providing quotation and selling the companies services. You’ll also work to generate business in all familiar sectors, using and differing to other company representatives where appropriate.
You’ll work on the full architectural process, providing designs and ideas in line with the brief, considering budgets, planning and the building regulations, seeing through the design processes, planning, building regulations and project completion via project management, in which you’ll be working with the client and their builder to maintain a consistent and convenient build.
Primary Role
- Attend initial meetings, provide advice, take the brief, and sell our services.
- Take a detailed measured survey.
- Produce design drawings and liaise with client in person or by email to conclude the design.
- Where necessary prepare plans for planning, building regulations, tender or construction.
- Work on your own and utilize the support team wherever possible.
- Maintain a good relationship with clients before during and after the project.
- Solve issues where possible and keep the client in a happy opinion of CKA.
- Work with the company to improve services wherever possible.
- Attend company meetings, suggest, and implement improvements.
- Deliver construction project by way of project management.
Secondary Roles
- Aid, assist and develop other employees.
- Meet potential referral partners.
- Attend networking meetings.
- When asked provide blog information, media, or technical information.
- Aid company promotion via social media.
- Implement and help develop marketing strategies.
All activities, procedures and systems are to be carried out as outlined in the Company Operation Handbook, drawings are to be in the ‘style’ of the Company.
All activities on Projects are to be logged, tasked, and recorded to keep the team operation running. We are continuously striving to improve and invite all staff to make notes of any areas in which they think improvements can be made, these can then be discussed in the Drawing Review meeting, or Company Systems meetings which already take place to discuss and implement changes. Our company can only grow through its staff.
