Ensure the care home is visibly clean and free from odors that are offensive or unpleasant.
The premise and equipment must be clean and cleaning must be done in line with current legislation and guidance.
Ensure the relevant cleaning schedules are completed and an accurate record of cleaning in maintained, they are signed and dated as appropriate.
Check the housekeeping book on a daily basis and complete any tasks written in the book, signed and date when completed.
Empty waste bins and wipe out. Ensure domestic, clinical and hazardous waste and materials are managed and disposed of in line with current legislation and guidance.
Ensure that all flooring is in a clean condition and free from clutter.
Restock toiletries, soaps, paper towel, PPE etc. as and when required.
Ensure the care homes color coding system is used at all times.
Ensure daily cleaning is carried out in accordance to the care home cleaning schedule, company policy and infection control guidance.
Ensure that deep cleaning and weekly cleaning is carried out in accordance to the care home cleaning schedule, company policy and infection control guidance.
