Newton Farm Foods are looking for a Butcher to join us on a Temporary basis, in our award winning farm shop butchery, in the beautiful village of Newton St Loe.
We are a family run business with many local products and meat that comes directly from our farm. The successful applicant will enjoy working in a family environment with the opportunity to learn more about local businesses and farming.
Successful candidate will need to be available for both weekday and weekend working.
Duties will include:
- Cut, mince and prepare meats for sale over our shop counter or for wholesale delivery.
- Assist in breaking down carcasses
- Clean and maintain tools and equipment
- Ensure displays and signage are accurate and attractive.
- Weigh, package, price and display our products.
- Perform quality inspections on meats and other products.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation controls.
- Greet and serve customers on the shop counter
- Provide advice and answer any questions.
- Receive and process deliveries.
- Set up and close down of shop counter.
- Production of sausages, burgers and faggots
Pay: From £14.00 per hour
