Sheet Metal Worker / TIG Welder Fabricator
Location: Within commutable distance of Bromsgrove
Salary: Up to £18.00 per hour, depending on experience
Hours: Day shift, Monday–Friday
Contract: Permanent
The Role
We are looking for an experienced Sheet Metal Worker / TIG Welder Fabricator to join a busy manufacturing and fabrication environment on a permanent basis.
The successful candidate will be confident working with sheet metal and stainless steel, carrying out TIG welding and general fabrication work to a high standard. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in producing accurate, quality-finished work.
Key Responsibilities
- TIG welding, primarily on stainless steel and sheet metal.
- Fabricating and assembling components from drawings and specifications.
- Cutting, folding, forming and preparing sheet metal.
- Reading and interpreting engineering/fabrication drawings.
- Measuring, marking out and ensuring accurate dimensions.
- Producing clean, high-quality welds and finished components.
- Carrying out finishing, dressing and general fabrication duties.
- Maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy and safety.
- Working independently as well as as part of a small fabrication team.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Sheet Metal Worker, TIG Welder, Fabricator or similar.
- Strong TIG welding skills, ideally with stainless steel.
- Good sheet metal fabrication experience.
- Ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
- Confident with measuring, marking out and using workshop equipment.
- Good attention to detail and a quality-focused approach.
- Reliable, hardworking and able to work well within a team.
- Relevant welding/fabrication qualifications are advantageous but not essential where practical experience is strong.
Package
- Up to £18.00 per hour, depending on experience and skill level.
