Originally built during the reign of Elizabeth I, the 16th Century Manor House offers guests modern amenities, facilities and attentive service within a traditional setting.
Set in its own grounds in a peaceful village location in Warwickshire, with close links to the main motorway networks of the M1, M6 and M69 and close to Coventry, Warwick, and Stratford Upon Avon.
A choice of 4 conference and banqueting suites with facilities for up to 250 guests. With an events and banqueting team with extensive experience of weddings, banquets and celebratory events.
Job description
We have an opportunity to join our kitchen team in Sous Chef role. Our kitchen serves a la carte food in our Leyland Restaurant and informal bar snacks in our Newdigate Bar as well as a busy banqueting, conference and wedding trade throughout the year.
We are looking to support and strengthen our team. The roles offers opportunities to demonstrate cooking, leadership and individuality across a number of kitchen sections. You must ensure high standards are met and maintained by all, and be able to demonstrate high levels of attention to detail and pride in the dishes that you produce. The hotel is looking to push towards rosette standards so candidates should be aspirational in their outlook and keen to achieve excellence.
Successful candidates will be highly motivated, enthusiastic about working with fresh produce and have the ability to work independently as well as with others. You will possess a good knowledge of food and food hygiene. Previous experience of working in a similar kitchen environment is preferable. You should have a sound knowledge of health and safety.
This is a full time role, 5 days per week, working varying shifts. Candidates must be flexible and available for work any day of the week.
