The Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology is part of the FDC Family diagnostics and Community division . It consists of an integral maternity and gynaecology unit on a single site based at the Princess Alexandra Hospital. Inpatients are based at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, while clinics are held at Princess Alexandra Hospital, St Margaret’s Hospital (Epping) and Herts & Essex Hospital, (Bishop’s Stortford), as well as other outreach centres.
This role is for a Middle Grade Doctor (senior clinical Fellow) in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. There are one full-time and one 0.9 whole time equivalent, fixed-term appointments with a 1:8 middle grade rota covering Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

We are looking for keen, enthusiastic candidates, committed to delivering outstanding care. The successful candidate will participate in the day to day running of the obstetrics and gynaecology department. They will participate in the obstetrics and gynaecology on call rota which covers nights, weekends and long days. There are opportunities for assistance with postgraduate exams (MRCOG part 2, 3) as well as accessing higher level training such as ATSMs /SITMs.
