Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Textile Sourcing & Production Planning Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of managing the sourcing of textile materials and orchestrating efficient production schedules to meet market demands. Your expertise will drive seamless coordination between suppliers, manufacturing units, and logistics partners, ensuring high-quality output and timely delivery. Duties
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for textile materials by identifying reliable suppliers and negotiating favorable terms to maximize value.
- Collaborate closely with suppliers to ensure quality standards, lead times, and cost targets are met consistently.
- Utilize ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems such as SAP or Oracle EBS to manage procurement processes, track orders, and monitor inventory levels.
- Create detailed production plans that align with sales forecasts, inventory targets, and capacity constraints, adjusting schedules proactively as needed.
- Coordinate with logistics teams to ensure timely transportation of raw materials and finished goods across the supply chain network.
- Monitor supplier performance and conduct regular evaluations to foster continuous improvement in sourcing practices.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of sourcing activities, production schedules, and supply chain metrics for reporting and analysis.
Experience
- Proven experience in textile sourcing, procurement, or production planning within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle EBS, including modules related to procurement and production planning.
- Demonstrated negotiation skills with suppliers to secure optimal pricing, quality, and delivery terms.
- Knowledge of logistics operations and supply chain management principles to streamline processes effectively.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating across departments, negotiating with vendors, and coordinating logistics partners.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in a global supply chain environment is highly desirable.
