Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy culinary team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment, supporting chefs and kitchen staff to deliver excellent service. The ideal candidate will be proactive, reliable, and eager to develop their skills within the hospitality sector. Previous experience is not mandatory but an interest in food preparation and hospitality is advantageous.
Duties
- Washing and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to ensure cleanliness standards are met
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks under supervision
- Keeping the kitchen area tidy and organised throughout the shift
- Supporting the storage of ingredients and supplies in designated areas
- Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health & safety regulations
- Ensuring compliance with hygiene standards and health & safety policies at all times
- Supporting the team during busy service periods by providing general assistance as needed
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking, or culinary techniques is a plus
- Experience in serving or hospitality roles can be beneficial for understanding customer service expectations
- Familiarity with kitchen safety procedures and hygiene standards is advantageous
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop within the hospitality industry

Pay: £12.80-£14.00 per hour
