Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Tap dance teacher to provide cover instruction at our dance studio on Wednesdays from September. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and technically accurate Tap/ Ballet dance lessons to students of various ages and skill levels. The classes run 4.45-8.30pm
Duties
- Deliver high-quality Tap dance lessons in accordance with the studio’s curriculum and standards
- Adapt teaching methods to suit different age groups and skill levels.
- Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to students during classes
- Maintain a safe, organised, and welcoming environment for all participant
- Assist with setting up dance spaces, including cleaning and organising equipment as needed
- Attend briefings or meetings related to lesson planning or studio events
Requirements
- Proven experience teaching Tap dance, with a strong understanding of technique and choreography
- Excellent communication skills, able to motivate and inspire students
- Ability to adapt lessons for different ages, abilities, and learning styles
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in dance instruction are preferred but not essential
- A professional attitude with punctuality, organisation, and reliability
- A positive attitude towards fostering a supportive learning environment
