Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and proactive Trainee Warehouse Operative to join our busy logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling materials, stock, and supporting out team in the casemaking shop. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with warehouse experience to develop their skills within a dynamic environment. The Warehouse Operative will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth flow of goods.
Duties
- Handling materials efficiently, including loading and unloading goods from lorries and storage area
- preparing crates and containers for dispatch in accordance with company standards
- Stocking and organising storage areas to optimise space utilisation
- Assisting with shipping and receiving procedures, including documentation and labelling
- Performing cleaning and housekeeping duties to maintain standards within the warehouse and cashmaking shop.
- Ensuring health and safety protocols are adhered to at all times during daily operations
Requirements
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Ability to operate forklifts safely; relevant licences are advantageous
- Physical fitness for heavy lifting and manual handling tasks throughout the shift
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in stock control and quality assurance
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Pay: From £12.71 per hour
