Are you an animal lover with a passion for outdoor activity? We are seeking an energetic and responsible Self Employed Dog Walker to join us! In this role, you will meet new clients, provide essential exercise and conduct home visits for various animals. Responsibilities
- Take dogs on engaging walks tailored to their size, breed, and energy level, ensuring safety at all times
- Provide attentive pet care by monitoring behavior and health during walks
- Communicate effectively with pet owners about their dog’s activities, behavior, and any concerns
- Maintain a clean and safe walking environment by managing leads, waste disposal, and route planning
- Follow specific instructions from pet owners regarding feeding, medication, or special needs
- Uphold professionalism by demonstrating reliability, punctuality, and a caring attitude towards all animals
Requirements
- Genuine love for animals
- Strong understanding of dog behavior, safety protocols, and handling techniques
- Excellent customer service skills to build trust with pet owners and address their questions or concerns
- Ability to perform physical activities such as walking long distances and lifting moderate weights (e.g., dog supplies or small equipment)
- Reliable transportation to travel between client locations within your designated area
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Flexibility to accommodate varying walk times, Monday - Friday
- Public liability insurance with key cover (or willingness to obtain)
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain)
