-
Lead business development opportunities, proposals, pitches and presentations for new and existing clients.
-
Oversee the technical and financial elements of engagements, including the accurate quantification and documentation of capital allowances claims and elections.
-
Manage a portfolio of tax and technical work, balancing project priorities, resources, quality and risk requirements.
-
Advise on the adoption of software and artificial intelligence capabilities to improve delivery processes and develop new offerings.
-
Collaborate with tax technology, risk management and wider tax colleagues to create solutions and identify market opportunities.
-
Lead, coach and develop team members, while liaising with HM Revenue & Customs specialists to support the agreement of claims.
-
Deep practical knowledge of capital allowances legislation, case law and claim preparation, supported by broader finance, accounting and taxation knowledge.
-
Experience leading complex client engagements and applying legislation to commercial and operational scenarios.
-
Ability to develop client relationships, identify opportunities and lead proposals, pitches and senior stakeholder conversations.
-
Experience using software to analyse large datasets and improve processes, with an understanding of artificial intelligence-enabled solutions.
-
Strong project and portfolio management skills, including prioritising work, allocating resources, delegating effectively and maintaining quality.
-
Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts and produce professional reports for senior stakeholders.
A relevant tax, accounting or surveying qualification, such as CTA, ACA, ACCA, RICS or an equivalent qualification, is desirable but not essential.
