Duties
- Monitor residents throughout the night to ensure their safety and comfort, responding promptly to any needs or emergencies
- Conduct regular checks in accordance with individual care plans to maintain health and well-being
- Assist residents with personal care tasks such as toileting, mobility support as outlined in their care plans
- Maintain clear and accurate documentation of overnight activities, incidents, and any changes in residents’ conditions using IT systems
- Support residents in maintaining a calm and restful environment by addressing concerns or disturbances promptly and professionally
- Assist with light housekeeping duties related to resident comfort and safety as needed
Experience
- Previous experience working in a care home or home care setting is highly desirable, demonstrating familiarity with caring for vulnerable individuals overnight
- Strong communication skills in English to effectively interact with residents, team members, and external professionals
- Basic IT skills for recording care notes and using digital communication tools
- Knowledge of care plans and ability to follow specified procedures accurately
- Ability to remain calm, attentive, and proactive during night shifts to ensure residents’ safety at all times
