Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Light Vehicle Mechanic to join our Bosch Service Centre team. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing a variety of light vehicles to ensure optimal safety, performance, and reliability. Duties
- Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools
- MOT Test
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake inspections, tire rotations, and fluid replacements
- Repair or replace faulty components using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential problems before they escalate
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and parts used
- Assist with heavy lifting and equipment repair tasks as needed to ensure safety and efficiency
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and addressing vehicle concerns professionally
Experience
- At Least 5 years experience working as a Light Vehicle Mechanic or in a similar automotive repair role
- Mot tester experience
- Strong mechanical knowledge of light vehicles including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, and electrical components
- Familiarity with schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic software tools
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly processes
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a workshop environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail during inspections and repairs
- Prior experience delivering outstanding customer service is highly desirable

Pay: £32,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
