The Growth Company’s (GC)Education and Skills team is excited to offer a new opportunity for a Skills Development Tutor specialising in the HR sector. The goal is to support learners in developing the knowledge, skills, behaviours, and attitudes needed to achieve meaningful outcomes.

The role is primarily home‑based, with a Manchester office as the contractual location. Applicants are therefore welcome from outside the Greater Manchester (GM) area, provided they are able to travel to GM as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a diverse client caseload to ensure learner retention, progression, and the development of new business opportunities.
- Design and deliver tailored curriculum content that meets individual learner needs and supports inclusive learning.
- Assess learner work, provide constructive feedback, and collaborate with stakeholders to set clear learning objectives.
- Monitor learner progress, set achievable targets, and consistently meet key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Track learner development, identify and manage risks, and utilise support tools to ensure timely achievement of goals.
- Ensure learners are supported in a safe environment by following safeguarding, health and safety, and risk assessment procedures in line with company policy.
- Evaluate stakeholder feedback to enhance curriculum delivery and actively participate in self-assessment and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to team growth by engaging in quality assurance activities and supporting professional development initiatives.
About You:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) to effectively support and enhance the learner experience.
- Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills across diverse audiences.
- Highly organised with strong planning skills to manage workload and meet deadlines efficiently.
- Skilled in coaching techniques to support learner development and performance improvement.
- Capable of motivating and inspiring individuals to achieve their full potential.
- Approachable and supportive, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Flexible and adaptable, able to respond effectively to changing priorities and learner needs.
- Committed to continuous personal and professional development to maintain high standards.
Skills Required:
- Holds a recognised assessor qualification such as A1, D32/33, or TAQA.
- Possesses a minimum Level 5 qualification in HR or equivalent.
- Brings 1–2 years of experience in teaching, learning delivery, and assessment practices.
- Knowledgeable about the HR Support and People professional Apprenticeship Standards and End Point Assessment requirements.
- Holds or is currently working towards a Diploma in Education and Training (DET) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Skilled in developing engaging, learner-focused educational materials and resources.
- Proficient in using digital systems and eLearning platforms to support blended learning.
