Join an accountancy practice that's built differently.
At DIGI, we believe accountancy should be proactive, personal and genuinely valuable to our clients. We're not here to simply file accounts or tick compliance boxes. We help ambitious businesses make smarter financial decisions, solve problems before they happen and build for long-term growth.
As our Client Manager, you'll become the trusted adviser for a portfolio of businesses, working closely with our Partners to deliver exceptional client service while supporting and developing the wider team.
We're looking for someone who enjoys building relationships just as much as producing excellent technical work. You'll be organised, commercially minded and confident taking ownership of your clients, while helping shape the future of a growing practice.
Whether you're an experienced Accounts Senior ready to take the next step or an established Client Manager looking for a fresh challenge, we'd love to meet you.
The Role:
You'll be responsible for managing your own team and client portfolio while delivering a high standard of accounting, tax and advisory services.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a portfolio of limited companies, sole traders and partnerships, acting as the primary point of contact for all accounting and tax matters.
- Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts, management accounts, corporation tax returns and personal tax returns.
- Ensuring compliance work is completed accurately and on time.
- Providing proactive financial and business advice that helps clients improve performance and make informed decisions.
- Building long-term client relationships through exceptional service and regular communication.
- Reviewing the work of junior team members, offering technical support, coaching and mentoring.
- Supporting clients with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management and financial planning.
- Identifying opportunities to improve internal processes, efficiencies and the use of cloud accounting technology.
- Assisting Partners with advisory projects, client meetings and business development opportunities.
- Keeping up to date with changes in accounting standards, tax legislation and industry best practice.
About You
We're looking for someone who combines strong technical knowledge with excellent people skills.
Requirements:
- At least four years' experience working within an accountancy practice.
- Previous experience managing staff or supervising junior team members.
- Experience managing your own client portfolio.
- Strong knowledge of accounts preparation, corporation tax and personal tax.
- Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements and tax returns.
- Confidence using cloud accounting software such as Xero and other digital accounting tools.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- A proactive, organised and solutions-focused approach.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
Ideally, you'll be:
- ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualified (or qualified by experience with relevant practice experience).
- QBE considered
What You'll Get
- Salary up to £45,000, depending on experience.
- Hybrid working following successful completion of probation.
- 25 days' annual leave, plus bank holidays and Christmas office closure.
- 5% employer pension contribution.
- Private medical insurance.
- Gym membership.
- Regular team socials and company events.
- Ongoing professional development and genuine career progression.
- The opportunity to help shape a growing, ambitious practice.
